Our university's Technical Sciences Vocational School (TBMYO) organized an informational program aimed at informing students about the activities of KOSGEB, which supports entrepreneurship and the business world.
The program featured a presentation by SME Specialist and Mechanical Engineer Okan Aktan. The event took place in the Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim Conference Hall with the participation of TBMYO Director Dr. Faculty Member Fatih Şevgin, Assistant Directors Lecturer Yavuz Güler and Lecturer Canan Gençalioğlu, along with academic staff and students.
Okan Aktan provided detailed explanations about the courses, entrepreneurship training, supported activities, and grant amounts offered by KOSGEB. This event, which aimed to raise awareness among students regarding entrepreneurship, presented a broad perspective on KOSGEB's contributions to the business world. He also advised students on how to benefit from KOSGEB's support and what to pay attention to in the process of starting their own businesses.
Dr. Faculty Member Fatih Şevgin expressed gratitude to Okan Aktan for his contributions, stating, “This program should be regarded as a comprehensive initiative aimed at enhancing our students' knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship, allowing them to step into the business world more equipped. Such events play a key role in enabling university students to familiarize themselves with the business world at an early stage and discover their entrepreneurial potential. Through these activities, students have the opportunity to gain real-world experience while developing the skills to understand the needs of the business sector and succeed in a competitive environment. Therefore, it is essential to emphasize the critical importance of these activities in preparing young people for the business world. I would like to extend my thanks to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, for facilitating this opportunity for our students.”
After addressing questions from students regarding entrepreneurship and KOSGEB activities, a certificate of appreciation was presented to speaker Okan Aktan, and the program concluded with a group photo.
